“[N]on-profit organizations providing food…and other necessities of life for economically disadvantaged or otherwise needy individuals” are recognized as Essential Businesses and Operations under Indiana Executive Order 20-08.
Our plan to have Marilyn’s Place Non-Food Pantry fully remodeled, decorated, furnished, and ready for an April 4th soft open/preview event was contingent on two weeks of nightly volunteer "build-out parties" set to begin March 16th.
Needless to say, those plans and renovations have been postponed indefinitely.But our mission is providing free and equal access to quality of life necessities to members of the Hamilton County community* in need of such assistance. [*inc. surrounding counties}
With that demographic increasing every day, our vision for where we do that is no longer a priority. Filling as much of 1000 square feet of floor and wall space with weather/work/ school appropriate clothing, hygiene products, and cleaning supplies as soon as we can is.
We can’t get together to do it, but together we can get it done.
