  1. I’ve never heard of Marilyn’s Place. What is it, what do they do? 

          Marilyn’s Place Incorporated is a 501c3 non-profit organization founded in November of 2018 to   open and operate a non-food pantry in Hamilton County, Indiana.  

        a. What’s a non-food pantry?     


           A non-food pantry is like a food pantry but instead of food they give people clothes, hygiene products, and cleaning supplies.


        b. Where is it?


           1106 S. 8th Street, Noblesville, IN 46060, 1 mile south of the Hamilton County Judicial Building.


        c. How do they get the clothes and things to give away? 


             Donations, donations, donations!


​        d. Why Hamilton County?


            Hamilton County, Indiana, has the lowest poverty rate in Indiana, somewhere between 3.8 and 5.1 percent. Much better than the US average of 12.3% to 14.7%.


             But not for the 12,730 and 17,085* people in that 3.8 to 5.1 percent. There are several food pantries throughout Hamilton County but until Marilyn's Place Non-Food Pantry opened there was no place or program that consistently provided free clothing, hygiene, and cleaning products 52 weeks a year.
